Check these plans and see which plan saves you the most money<\/em><\/center><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compare Ohio Electricity Suppliers<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every month each Ohio electricity utility changes their price to compare (PTC). The PTC gives customers a set price to compare the current electricity rates for plans from retail electricity suppliers. But because each Ohio utility has a different PTC for different service territories, the plans being offered are not all the same nor are they the same price. So let&#8217;s take a look at the PTC of <\/span><b>Dayton Power and Lighting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>AEP<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Duke Energy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and see which ones are the cheapest plans in those areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dayton Power and Lighting Price to Compare<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of July 1st, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energychoice.ohio.gov\/ApplesToApplesComparision.aspx?Category=Electric&amp;TerritoryId=9&amp;RateCode=1\"><b>Dayton Power and Lighting\u2019s<\/b> PTC<\/a>\u00a0lowered\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it\u2019s PTC to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.60468 cents per kWh. Currently, there are currently no supplier plans that beat it. However, the cheapest plan<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohenergyratings.com\/plans\/constellation\/details\/12-month-home-power-plan\"><b>Constellation Energy\u2019s 12 Month Home Power Plan<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> comes very, very close at 4.69 cents per kWh. The plan comes with Constellation\u2019s 90 day satisfaction guarantee which allows you to cancel the plan during the firs three months. After that, there is a low cancellation fee of $25. Constellation also has the second highest rated <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohenergyratings.com\/companies\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ohio electricity company<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at 4.84 stars out of 5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duke Energy Ohio\u2019s Cheapest Electricity Rate<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.energychoice.ohio.gov\/ApplesToApplesComparision.aspx?Category=Electric&amp;TerritoryId=4&amp;RateCode=1\"><b>Duke Energy\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> PTC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 5.46 cents per kWh, has the highest PTC of the utilities mentioned here. The cheapest plan that beats <\/span><b>Duke Energy\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> PTC is <\/span><b>Constellation Energy\u2019s 18 Month Home Power Plan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and it\u2019s 4.89 cents per kWh rate. Like the previously mentioned <strong>Constellation<\/strong> plan, it has the 90 day the satisfaction guarantee deal and a $25 cancellation fee. It\u2019s long contract length and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohenergyratings.com\/electricity-rates\/duke\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cheap electricity rate<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> makes this a great electricity plan with the current low, low kWh rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shop for Best AEP Ohio Electricity Rate<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.energychoice.ohio.gov\/ApplesToApplesComparision.aspx?Category=Electric&amp;TerritoryId=2&amp;RateCode=1\"><b>American Electric Power\u2019s (AEP)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> PTC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 4.64 cents per kWh doesn\u2019t have any fixed rate plans available that beat it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohenergyratings.com\/plans\/provision-power-gas\/details\/monthly-plan\"><strong>Provision Power and Gas<\/strong><\/a> (Quake Energy) offers a month-to-month variable rate plan that&#8217;s just 3.99 cents per kWh \u2014 but <em>only for the first month.<\/em> Afterwards, customers can switch to a different plan or pay Provision&#8217;s higher regular monthly variable rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohenergyratings.com\/plans\/xoom-energy\/details\/surelock-6\"><b>Xoom Energy\u2019s<\/b> <b>SureLock 6<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0offers a competitive rate of 4.69 cents per kWh with <\/span><b>Xoom Energy\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> rewards program. The rewards program provides access to discounts for shopping or groceries, or access to exclusive promotional items.\u00a0The plan&#8217;s cancellation fee is $50. B<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">efore the plan ends, you should receive recommendations from <strong>Xoom Energy<\/strong> about your future plan options. If you do not choose a new plan, <strong>Xoom<\/strong> will automatically roll you into their variable rate month to month plan. So while this plan is cheap to begin with, customers need to pay attention when the plan nears the end. That&#8217;s when you should\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohenergyratings.com\/electricity-rates\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shop for cheap electricity plans<\/span><\/a>\u00a0again.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find Best Electricity Plan<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While some electricity companies currently can\u2019t beat the PTC, remember that PTC rates change frequently. Retailer electricity suppliers&#8217; rate that are higher today can be locked in against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/outlooks\/steo\/special\/supplements\/2020\/2020_sp_01.pdf\">price increase<\/a>s expected to start in December. Both\u00a0<\/span><strong>Constellation Energy\u2019s<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> 12 Month Home Power Plan<\/strong> and <strong>18 Month Home Power Plan<\/strong> have low rates and long terms. Meanwhile <strong>Xoom Energy<\/strong>, while being so much cheaper than the <strong>Duke PTC<\/strong>, has a great rewards program too.
