Lies, lies and more lies
Was offered a variable rate but told don't worry, we wouldn't want to lose your business, so we will be competitive and cheaper than what AEP charges. WRONG! And if the rate is high, was told to call them (Major Energy) and we will help you out. WRONG! When I called back to speak to the person who signed me up, was told no such employee existed. The supplier portion on my bill is 70% more than I would have paid had I stayed with AEP. I should have known better than to fall for the sales pitch. Don't believe their lies!!

Gouge you after introductory rate ends
Even if you change carriers before the introductory plan ends, there is a month or two for transition to take effect (which is horrible in itself). Rate more than doubled during that interim. Not worth 3 mos of low rate.

Avoid this company
Company said they sent me a letter saying my one year was ending and they said they included the new rate which was almost four times higher. HOWEVER, I never received the letter and didn't know about the new rate until the bill arrived and it was five times last month's bill. This is a scam company.

I was contacted about switching to their .049 rates and that it would be variable and I would be informed every month what the new rate would be so I could cancel or continue. After my first initial bill I received one letter saying that the rate would be 8.9. I just received my latest bill and my current rate is $.14 per kilowatt, which is outrageous. I was never told it was going to be that high. When I signed up, the spokespersons said I would be informed. When I called them, I was just told that they dont inform people. All they did was send me a letter saying that my current rate was going to expire and that there was nothing to be done. Do not give them business as they are extremely dishonest about their rates.

Waited until the last minute to back out and stuck us with double the cost.
Scam company. Accepted us into the Ohio Choice Program then right before our service was to start they backed out. Now we are stuck with double the electric bills for 2 months. These guys are garbage and should not be in business.

Such a scam... avoid!!!
This company is a MAJOR SCAM!!! Do not enroll in energy services with them
They will offer you a flat rate "intro offer" to entice you, and then cancel your service 1 month in. This is ridiculous. They then offer you way more expensive variable rates, classic bait and switch scam.
Customer service will not be able to explain to you why they cancelled. They will mess with you, put you on hold for minutes and not come up with any additional information. They just want you to hang up. They are clueless and awful at their job.

This was a scam he basically tricked me saying I would be gitting a $300 visa card ..but me no knowing I fell for it until I told some one else about the rebate and was told it's a scam this should be illegal and I will be reporting this to the p.u.c.o asap

This company makes a habit of offering a very low rate 'evergreen' plan. Evergreen means they will adjust their prices based on the market as they see fit. Read their BBB page to see the numerous accounts reporting the same scam. They will jack the price (for me, it was 20x the competition) and then retroactively back charge your account for several months to account for the energy cost change. I was hit with a charge totaling nearly $1500 for the previous 3 months one week before another nearly $500 charge for the upcoming month. To make matters worse, the process of transitioning between energy providers can take several months. So, I will be hit with two more $500 bills before I am transitioned to my new energy provider (which should amount to under $100 per billing cycle). This company ripped me off for nearly $3000 dollars. Their call center was an overseas company that seemed to have a script for handling my exact complaint. It is a shame that these predatory practices are allowed to continue.
