USE with CAUTION
“ I am sure this applies to ALL gas suppliers who charge an early termination fee, so use caution when choosing a company that does charge an early termination fee. I received a notice in the mail from Ohio Natural Gas saying my plan was about to expire. After checking the Apples to Apples site I found a company that was less expensive and did not charge an early termination fee, so I signed up with the new company. It was my understanding that it could take 1-2 billing cycles for the change to take place, so I felt I was safe. Guess again. The switch happen a couple weeks before the end of the contract, and I just got a bill in the mail for a $75.00 early termination fee from Ohio Natural Gas. Buyer beware, if you choose a different provider and have an early termination fee associated with your old contract BE SURE it does not take effect until after your current contract is over, because this company will not give you any grace, or forgiveness. The only option offered to me was to change back to Ohio Natural Gas as my provider, which I chose not to do so that I won't have to continually worry about the early termination fee issue. It was my mistake, but it won't happen again. ONE way to avoid this problem is to choose a company that does not charge an early termination fee. I was told that all of Ohio Natural Gas six and 12-month contracts have them. Look for a company that doesn't charge an early termination fee, even if they charge a tiny tad more per ccf, because one little mistake, like mine, and any savings will be lost by having to pay an early termination fee. ”

Billing Department is Horrendous and no means to contact corporate Hq to discuss
“ We have been with Green Mountain under their solar panel program for a year. We get an incorrect bill and I call. Customer service says it will be 21 days to correct. I ask for a supervisor who checks, expedites and gets corrected in 5 days. That bill gets corrected but the next bill has a different problem. We've had more months will a billing problem than months without. The worst is that they provide no contact information for corporate. Corporate needs to review billing issues and revise procedures. ”
