  I've been a steady customer of TXU for 10+ years. When I moved my service a few years ago, I used their website and live chat to pick the best plan and make the move. I have always had great results with customer service when I needed them and the service has always been reliable.

Competitive prices but becoming skeptical about this company

  Prices were not best, but not bad. They offered $50 bonus for contract renewal and I took it. Got first bill several weeks ago but still not that $50 bonus. Tried to call them on 1-888-200-3788 but that number seems not working - first red flag. Sent email and no response - second red flag.
I will wait another month, then have to send them letter and copy Duke Energy requesting to cancel contract since they didn't fulfil their obligations. I don't like when things are so difficult.

Bad Walmart Enrollment Experience

  On 7/19/21 I made the mistake of enrolling with a salesperson while shopping at Walmart. The salesperson looked up my rate online and showed me that NRG's rate was more than 20% lower than my current rate through Duke Energy. When I got home, I reviewed my latest bill and the rate I was paying was actually lower than NRG's rate. I immediately filed NRG's "Notice of Cancellation" form via email. They responded that they could not cancel it, that I had to call Duke Energy (current supplier) to cancel. I called Duke Energy on 7/20/21, explained the situation and they told me that they would take care of it. On 7/27/21 I got a letter from Duke stating that NRG would be my new supplier unless I called Duke to cancel. I called Duke on 7/28/21 to cancel NRG for the second time. Hopefully this is the end of it.

Nightmare experience with Customer Service - Don't Choose Symmetery

  They promise incentives, good rates, all the best, but when you sign contract, they don't do anything and always say - our records are different, maybe because utility company didn't process this or that. On this site they tell you call customer service. When you call them they tell you to email customer service and they never respond emails.

What a lousy way to run a business

  THEY WILL LET ANYONE SIGN YOU UP FOR THEIR SERVICE. It doesn't matter if that person is actually ON the service from duke. When you call to complain, they tell you that there is nothing wrong, nothing they can do about it. The eate ended up over twice what duke charges. What a jole. What a lousy way to run a business. Will NEVER have anything to do with ANYTHING that says cincinnati bell.

  Tomorrow Energy is still on my Duke bill and they are changing the rate every month: Low was 0.059 and high was 0.140.Trying to find out why. Who regulates this PCU and how do I get rid of these thieves. We are retired and on a fixed budget and this hurts.

  THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. THEY PROMIS YOU A LOW RATE THEN AFTER 6 MONTHS, DOUBLE!!! THE RATE.
MY ELECTRIC BILL IS USUALLY AROUND $92 AND FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS MY BILLS HAVE BEEN OVER $400. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

Mega Energy is a Slimy Scamming Company

  I am called 2-3 times daily from Mega Energy India outsourced call center, Mega Energy is cheap crap company and there India call center representatives will not take no for an answer. There so-called representatives will lie and claim they are from Duke Energy they are not and now they are Caller ID spoofing local area phone number to get you to answer your phone. Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to indicate to the receiver of a call that the originator of the call is a local number not the true originating India outsourced call center. It's time to take a stand no more outsourced call centers! What ever you do never give these or anyone your energy account number because the next thing you know you will have changed energy providers. I will never understand why Ohio permitted this BS to go on, do not switch to Mega Energy they will raise rates they are nothing but lying scum.

Typical bait and switch - steer clear

  When my contract evidently expired two months ago, with no notice I might add, the price jumped to $0.1899/KWH. SCAM! Just switched to a higher rated supplier at $0.0495 locked in for 36 months...
