Helped with my bill
“ I just made a switch to Provision Power & Gas! I researched and found much much better rates.....and I did it all online! They made it so easy.....once you sign up they do everything else.....you get a confirmation of your order with all the info you need for your records, and they take it all from there. Love it when they make it soooo easy! And you save money!!!!! ”

Going renewable/green is the right decision...
Love your company
Good at keeping bills low
“ I've been with Vista for six months and so far, my experience has been very good. I've only had one high bill, and that was when I was running the air conditioner through all the heat. The reps have been very nice and professional. I've been very happy and I've told people about it. ”

Low prices are Great
Its all about what yu know
DO NOT FALL FOR IT
“ This company is great at scamming but thats about all they are good at. Im a college student looking to save a quick buck and was essentially prayed on for that. The door to door person came to my apartments back door which was not appreciated because its directly connected to a bedroom. They were persistent with their deal and were very convincing when explaining the money I would save. This was far from the truth. As spring is coming around we turned our heat off and the bill continued to be the same. I go to look at my electric bill thru my main supplier and it was only $40!!! Yet I was paying and extra $100 due to the fees and being a member with IDT. I was shocked, these fees I thought were just our electric bill because I was not told about them, I have been paying on the for months and the money I could have save is unbelievable. I did not speak to a rep when cancelling my services but rather thru the live chat, overall was an ok experience but they did try to push new promotions on to me which I obviously did not take. So take this advice from a chump that fell for it and DO NOT use this companys services!! ”

Lesson learned! I know more today than I did yesterday!
“ How ironic??....I just had a family member try to aggressively switch me to Xoom energy and I said "no" after reading a few bad reviews in other states about that "outsourced" supplier. Well, I received my bill this month and it was over $400 and I thought.. WOW ! (over $250 was related to my very own "outsourced" supplier)... Now it's been cold but I don't think I have ever had a bill in the winter months so high. I 've had Cincinnati Bell Energy for a couple of years and I never really understood what I was switching over to...shame on me. We hear save money and we jump to save money. ...I am sure, in the beginning, I had a good rate... BUT, like many of us, we get busy and we don't remember to follow up on plans that are locked in for specific time frames. So I called both companies to understand my bill and found out that I am currently on a month to month variable rate plan with Cincinnati Bell Energy. I paid .10 cent/ kWh when I could have paid .48 cent/kWh with my current provider. I paid double the price... I learned a $125 lesson! (That is a significant difference in the winter when your usage is higher.., but now I now). Their customer service department was extremely nice and helpful and offered to lock me in around .5 cent/kWh but who wants to remember to follow up in 12 months AND it was still higher than what I would have paid my primary carrier. So I cancelled but please make sure you ask about cancellation and term fees. I didn't have any fees on my agreement but it is always important to check. I blame myself and not Cincinnati Bell Energy. They are in the business to make money .... So the moral of the story is...I know more today than I did yesterday! ”

THey will lie to your face and have false paperwork
“ Had a team come to our hosue, show us paperwork and breakdown the electric / gas bill for our Duke eneregy bill. Showed us exactly how the bill would be changed, and told us to "say yes on the phone" to the people at duke to change the service.
Our bill we were told would be 20 dollars cheaper a month.... IT INCREASED BY OVER 125 a month. Considering a class action lawsuit against this company for its consumer fraud and unsafe business practices.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH. ”

Future Now gas is TWICE the cost of Duke Energy gas!
Watch out for rate hikes
“ I signed up for a limited time (3 months) discounted rate. I knew that my rate would go up, but not to DOUBLE the price of Duke energy! Not to mention, NRG did not even honor the first three month discount. My rates started systematically hiking after just two months until I was paying nearly double what I would have been paying with Duke. I'm embarrassed that I did not look at my rates earlier as I had a feeling this would turn out bad. Of course, I could not look at my rates because there does not appear to be any sort of online account that gives me this sort of transparency. I was also on hold with their support center for way too long, but that's what you'd expect out of a company like this. ”

Stay Far Away
“ I ran into a young lady at Walmart that convinced me to switch over after showing me how much money they could save me. My bill was about the same (everything they "saved" me in electric fees they made up for in rider charges). I was fine with this, since I couldn't tell a difference in the total amount I was paying. After 6 months my bills shot up hundreds of dollars more than what I was paying before (comparing to the same months last year). When I finally had 2 straight bills over $700, I had to call and cancel. Be prepared for looooong wait times if you try to call and cancel. ”

Rate changes and becomes non-competitive
“ They sent a sales person to my house at 9pm saying they were with my energy company and needed to see my energy bills to ensure that I was being charged correctly. I should have seen through this, but it was late and I was tired. When trying to cancel my account they hung up on me and screened my calls. Horrible company full of sneaky people, never do business with them. ”

BEWARE OF ENERGY SUPPLIER!!!
“ Please Please Please read this review thoroughly. I would like to be clear that this review is for Cincinnati Bell ENERGY and not for Cincinnati Bell's phone and internet. My electric bill comes from Duke Energy. I received a bill last month (12/2021) and was absolutely flabbergasted that it had tripled!!! I called Duke Energy amd was told that a $300 charge had been added to my account from Cincinnati Bell because they were listed as the "supplier" on my bill. Duke Energy said they couldn't do anything since they weren't the supplier and that I needed to call Cincinnati Bell Energy. I called CB Energy and spoke to Jessica. Jessica was nice (at first) and I explained the situation. She told me that we had signed up in 2019 through a telemarketing call. I asked her to please play the phone call for me and she was unable to provide that information. Jessica then later said that she was mistaken and that I had actually signed up online through my email. I asked her to provide that documentation which again, she was unable to do so. I then asked Jessica why the bill had jumped so high and she said that our contract had canceled and rolled over to a Month-to-Month status. I asked her how we were notified because I did not receive anything in the mail, a phone call or email. She then stated that they did not have my email address in file. WAIT, WHAT??? But she just got done saying that I signed up using my email?!?!?! LIES!!! She was not able to prove that we ever signed up nor was she able to prove that we were notified of a rate increase and us going Month-to-Month. She was apologetic and provided me with a confirmation number that canceled our services with them. I asked for a bill credit in the amount of $274 since that it what they charged us to "supply" us our Energy. She said she would escalate it to the proper department and I would receive a phone call within 48-72 hours. Welp, here I am writing this review 4 days or 96 hours later. Do you think I received a response? NOPE!!!! AND... GUESS WHAT ELSE? I received another Duke Bill (01/22) and wouldn't you know.. I was charged another $270 by them AGAIN! So, I called them again and immediately asked for a supervisor. This time, I had the pleasure of speaking with a "Supervisor" named Lex (agent #1526). He was completely unprofessional, rude, kept trying to talk over me and would not let me explain the situation. He kept arguing the fact that Jessica told me incorrectly and that it takes 7-10 days to here back regarding resolution and that receiving a credit wasn't guaranteed. I asked him if my call with Jessica was recorded and he replied back that it was. I asked him to please listen to it and his EXACT response back to me was "I will once I'm off the phone with you bur I'm not going to listen to it now". WHAT??? How are they still in business??? Lex told me that they've only been in business since 2019. Look at their reviews and all of the complaints. I've filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General and also the Better Business Bureau. We'll see if I hear back or get any kind of resolution but this company is a scam!!! ”

Mega Energy Will self adjust rates to Scam you Becarfeul
home owner in OH
“ I had mega energy of ohio I m not even sure how they tricked me into being their customer in the first place, I realized for the last several bills from duke energy were very high my normal bills this time of the year are usually 90-130$ bills they were sending were 350-450 a month. I called duke first and then called Mega energy and Finally got hold of some one. Their reply was that they changed my rates to 3 times the normal rate because they send a letter to me long time ago which explained this Of course my friends I never received any letter or phone call from Mega Energy of OH. I just want to alert other people to not come in their scam they will scam you into lower rate for few weeks or months and then will change to 3 times higher rates without informing you, like no reliable phone call or email or registered letter. So you will end up paying them lot more than usual rates. I dont know how attorney general or local law is monitoring these guys I wish I get my money back from these guys Please advise ”
