After NOT renewing a commercial two-year expiring contract with Nordic Energy in December 8, 2018 received a letter saying I owed them damages of $3,675. I immediately contacted Nordic for an explanation and left that message. Received an incoming nine minute telephone conversation December 20, 2018 from Sean Deering a director at Nordic and person who signed my energy contract on behalf of Nordic. After explaining the circumstances, Mr. Deering stated to ignore the letter he would close my account. Gratefully, I thanked him. Mr. Deering closed our telephone conversation asking me to keep his number so when my new contract expired I could call him directly to get Nordic's best rate. Since I have an upcoming new second commercial business that consumes considerable electric and gas, I informed Mr. Deering I would bring that business to Nordic as well. One would think the issue was put to rest.
September 3, 2019...nine months later, I receive a second letter generated from a collection agency on behalf of Nordic Energy demanding payment of $3,695. I've left four phone messages to Sean Deering. As of this writing he hasn't returned any of my calls even though I'm promised he would. Instead, each time I leave that message the collecting attorney returns those calls for Mr. Deering saying as of July 2019 Nordic now wants a damage payment.
Lesson learned...save ALL the aggravation...you're not saving money with Nordic Energy. Simply buy from your local energy provider.

That depends on who you ask. There will always be someone who feels wronged by a company, no matter how good they actually are. The average Nordic Energy Services customer review is 0 / 5 stars. Keep in mind, consumers will go out of their way to complain far more often than they will to give praise.
Why is my electricity rate higher than when I signed up?
The rate you see when you sign up is the average rate at that exact amount of usage in one billing cycle. Some companies try to game the system by applying bill credits between certain usage thresholds. It works great if you are within the margins, but as soon as you leave that band you no longer get that bill credit and your rate per kWh can double. The PUC only requires that companies disclose their average rates at 500, 1000, and 2000 kWhs. Companies can get around this by giving you a $50 bill credit if you use between 1000 and 2000 kWhs per billing cycle. The only way to really know what you're getting into is to read your EFL. A 10¢ rate at all usage amounts may end up being cheaper than that 8¢ rate at 1,000 kWh!
