Problems with Fees and Charges (597 reviews)
Not good customer service ANYMORE
“ When I started with Green Mountain, their customer service was personable, helpful, kind, and, courteous. I have been a GM customer for almost ten years. I freelance and there have been times when I have been late in paying, but I have never been disconnected, and have always paid in full. The FIRST and only time that I needed assistance with some extra time for my bill, I was met with a very rude awakening. I was told that the $20 charge on my bill was for "sending a disconnection notice", and that's in addition to the late charges. When I told her my situation, she made no reply whatsoever, and I listened to a mono-tone, heartless voice stating and repeating that I would have to pay in full, including the most recent billing, which was not late yet, or I'd be disconnected, obviously reading from a script. They have repeatedly raised my rate without my acceptance, as high as over 17 cents a Kw. I have referred many people to GM, but now I will warn them against it. BYE. ”

Excellant company
“ I have been with Just Energy since May 2009 - I have found them cooperative and pleasant. They explained to me my alternatives. They have unfortunately been blamed for "Ercot" charges. They offer a bundled rate - their contract is very fair. I have read it. Those that complain do not realize how much the would be paying with their old supplier. In the words of Ron White "You can't fix stupid." ”

Great Service!
“ I like the customer service that I receive from this provider. I have had two other companies and this is a step above them. Not much that you can say about utility companies, except how much they drain your wallet. But StarTex gives you ease of payment options (no service charges for Visa/MC) and great customer service. ”

Best pricing I found
“ Easy to switch, best pricing and terms. Switched 3 residential accounts as well as a business account. I did not rate billing and account management with 5 stars as I have no experience with that - Energy Harbor supplier fees will be billed through my AEP accounts. ”

Easy Transition
“ With the coming price hikes I wanted to lock in a low rate for as long as possible. Although I was already an Energy Harbor customer and was happy with them, I checked the other providers to get the best deal. Energy Harbor offered multiple plans at competitive rates with no monthly or early cancelation fees, so I decided to stay with them. I'm now locked in at a good rate for four years. ”
