Planet Energy -- Profile Analysis

RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told if I sold my house I would be able to terminate the contract. TOTAL BALONEY!!!!!!
At this point there is not that high of a cancellation fee as I only have 10 months to go.
However, during the contract, I have paid far more than if I just had had hydro from the main service provider, certainly they got more than the cancellation fee from me. AND it is a total misrepresentation of the terms that were presented to me by ACN.

The people here don't give a wink . They have their scripts, their bs uplift to managers, and incredibly condescending attitudes. I feel sorry for the workers as it is simply a job, however without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced (even worse than communication companies).

As I still have another two service contracts with them, it would have been good customer relations to waive the $50 early cancellation fee for the property I have sold. I certainly wouldn't have been writing this review. if they had. As it is, they want me to jump through very expensive hoops to show I no longer own the property (notarizations, government documents, legal letters, my first born etc.).

I joined as a favour to a friend. I don't regret helping my friend, however, I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

The use of planet energy was fine till we sold our house and moved. Planet Energy held us accountable to the transfer of their account to our new home, which is fine until we found out that where we were moving was actually managed by a 3rd party and did not allow Planet energy in. We kept getting harassing phone calls and threatened to get our account sent to a 3rd party if we didn't pay therefore minimizing our credit rating. They were successful using threats as my husband decided to pay although we did not owe them any monies. I have repeatedly reported to them about the move and offered to forward the service ontario email acknowledging our move request but it wasn't proof enough. So we have decided to pay in order to get peace of mind. Please do not sign up because it is extremely hard to get out.
